the eternal question
Is Mercury in retrograde right now?
Yes.
Mercury went retrograde on 24 October 2026 and turns direct on 12 November 2026, 14 days from now. Until then, read everything twice and send nothing you'll regret.

Worked out from planetary longitude, not taken on anyone's word. Station days are accurate to the day, and astrologers also count a "shadow" week either side if you'd like to be extra careful.
what it means
Mercury doesn't actually go backwards. From Earth it only looks like it's reversing through the zodiac, for about three weeks, roughly three times a year, while it overtakes us on the inside lane. Astrology blames the window for every double-booked meeting and every text you wish you hadn't sent.
The playbook: re-read the contract before you sign it, and hold the big launch if it can wait. Started something anyway? Bold. The planet isn't your boss, it's just weather.
